Words of Encouragement

Have you gotten off track and feel there’s no way the Lord will forgive you?  God will receive you back.  Remember the story about the prodigal son?  He was once lost.  He received an inheritance from his father and wasted it all in riotous living but went back to his father and admitted his sin and his father had compassion and received him back and that is the way our heavenly father will forgive you and receive you back also.

Luke 15:21:  “And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son.”

Luke 15:24, “For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.”

Luke 15:10, “Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.”

Jesus loves you and will receive you back.  Ask the Lord to forgive you and “get back on track”. Jesus loves you!

God bless you!

Tina’s Devotional

Have you been overwhelmed with problems and feel as if you’re being picked on?  Well, you are in good company.

Job lost everything in a single day but God restored double back to him.

Then there was Joseph whose brothers, because of jealously, sold him into slavery.  He was also thrown into prison because of Potiphar’s wife’s accusation of rape.

Genesis 37: 23-24, 26-27, “And it came to pass, when Joseph was come unto his brethren, that they stript Joseph out of his coat, his coat of many colours that was on him; and they took him, and cast him into a pit: and the pit was empty, there was no water in it. And Judah said unto his brethren, what profit is it if we slay our brother, and conceal his blood? Come, and let us sell him to the Ishmeelites, and let not our hand be upon him; for he is our brother and our flesh and his brethren were content.

And let’s not forget about the woman with the issue of blood.

Luke 8: 43-44, “And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any, came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched.”

All three of these people endured a great deal but yet, they still had faith in God.  You’re not being picked on.  You are being setup for a blessing!  Praise God!

God bless you!

Tina’s Devotional

Do life’s challenges have you wondering “where is God”?  I know that problems can overwhelm us sometime but we must keep our eyes on the prize, the prize of peace, the prize of salvation.

Psalm 34:15, “The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry”

Psalm 29:11, “The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace”

It’s coming.  Never give up!

God bless you!

Tina’s Devotional

Are you experiencing what you consider to be “bumps” in the road right now and peace seems so far away?  Jesus said that he would pray for the Father to send another Comforter in his place.  In him is everything you need.

John 14:16, “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;”

John 16:22-24, “And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.

And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.

Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.”

If you are in need of peace as you wait for the Lord to work out your situation, ask it of the Father, in Jesus’ name.

God bless you!

Are you going through some struggles and leaning on your own understanding or are you giving your struggles over to the one that can fix the problem?

Proverbs 3:5, “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.”

Trust God to fix your problems.  Lean on the Comforter.

John 14-16, “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;”

God bless you!

Are you worrying about things of which you have on control?  Give it over to the Lord.  There’s NOTHING he can’t do.

Matthew 6:27, “Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?”

Matthew 6:31-33, “Therefore take no thought, saying, what shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?  (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.  But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

If you’re worrying about your personal needs or situations of those close to you, don’t worry, take it to the Lord in prayer.

God bless you!

Do the stresses of life have you pulling out your hair?  Do you feel that you’re at your wit’s end?

Psalm 107:27-31, “They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wit’s end.  Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses.  He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still. Then are they glad because they be quiet; so he bringeth them unto their desired haven. Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!

Call on the name of Jesus.  He knows just what you’re going through.

God bless you!

Don’t Hold On To Anger

Tina’s Devotional

Has someone said something to you that’s left you angry and bitter?  Are you so angry that you’ve spoken badly about that person and you want to get back at them?

What does the word of God say about anger?

Proverbs 15:1, “A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.

Ephesians 4:31-32, “Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice, And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.”

If we want the Lord God to forgive us of our trespasses, we must forgive others.

Matthew 6:14, “For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.

Don’t hold anger in your heart.  Let it go.  Ask the Lord to help you to forgive the person that hurt you and pray for them.

God bless you!

Is Anything Too Hard for God

Tina’s Devotional

Is anything too hard for God?  God spoke and there was light.

Genesis 1:1-3, “In the beginning the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.”

God told Joshua to march around the city of Jericho seven times, make a loud noise with the ram’s horn and shout and the walls will fall…and they did.

Joshua 6:5, “And it shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast with the ram’s horn, and when ye hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the city shall fall down flat, and the people shall ascend up every man straight before him.”

A woman was able to be healed just by touching the hem of Jesus’ garment.

Luke 8:43-44, “And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any, Came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched.”

What do you think Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego would say about the power of God, after not being harmed in the fiery furnace?

Daniel 3:25, “He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.”

What do you think?  Is there anything too hard for God?

God bless you!

Tina’s Devotional

Are there times when you feel that you’re all alone, no one cares and there’s no one you can turn to?  You’re not.  Our heavenly father is always with us.  He cares for us and he is only a prayer away.

Isaiah 41:10, “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

Believe God’s word.  For his word is true.

God bless you
